Alex Marshall is probably the only guitarist to have a masters degree in biology, specialising in the shape of lizard bones. Having long ceased to measure up scaly skulls, Alex now gives the same focus and experimentation in his career as a musician.
At university, Alex devoted rigorous study to music too, with guidance from teachers Alex Steer, Mac Baker and Graham Mills-Langsdown. Alex has worked with many musicians in diverse styles including The Supreme Collective, Loaded, ULU Big Band, Rockall and Nira King and contributed to original projects such as Chainska Brassika, Greenstick and currently Creekside, who are recording an EP in 2016. Furthermore, Alex is an accomplished and attentive guitar teacher, with schools and private students of all abilities and ages employing his services.
